Rupert (currently living in the Toronto area) is a handsome, six-year-old neutered Golden Retriever weighing approximately 75 pounds. He is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves people and gets along well with cats. Like many Goldens, Rupert enjoys mealtime, chasing his ball, and spending time in the water. Rupert is a strong dog with plenty of enthusiasm. He can sometimes pull on leash and would benefit from continued training and guidance from someone experienced and confident handling larger dogs. Because he is unaware of his size and strength, he may accidentally knock someone over when excited. A home without small children or seniors would be the best fit for him. Rupert is looking for a loving country home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can enjoy the outdoors and be the only dog in the household. This sweet, goofy, and loyal boy has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for the right family. A small adoption fee will apply. Oxford is a truly exceptional 4‑year‑old male who is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a whole lot of heart to the right home.

I am seeking a wonderful family to welcome him as part of my guardianship program, where he will remain intact for the next year. 
He is everything we love in a Golden—silly, smart, affectionate, and breathtakingly beautiful. Oxford adores people and is happiest simply being near you. He’ll sit for hours soaking up gentle pets, yet he is not needy. In the house he settles beautifully and is incredibly easy to live with. Oxford is a big, strong boy, so his new family should be confident and comfortable handling a larger dog. He walks very nicely on leash, travels well in the car, and gets along with other dogs and cats. However, I am looking for a home where he can be the only dog, simply because he deserves to be the centre of someone’s world. His ideal home is one where someone is around at least part of the day and where he can enjoy a country lifestyle—a large, fully fenced yard to explore and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. But big enough to play fetch as that is one of his favourite things to do!  Oxford is a truly wonderful dog, and the family who welcomes him will be incredibly lucky.
